DANSE SILKEN DANCE

Danseuse professionnelle, chorégraphe, et enseignante, Manijeh Ali a une
formation intensive en Bharata Natyam, Kathak, et en danses traditionnelles
de lAfrique de louest. Elle a présenté en plusieurs occasions ses oeuvres:
Thandavum (2009), Refuge (2008), Antachara (2007), Spirit of the Mountain
(2006), À ton rythme Bharata Natyam (2005), et RASA (2001-2004).
Originaire d'Afghanistan, Manijeh est la fondatrice de Danse Silken qui a
pour but de créer et produire des projets contemporains basés sur les
histoires des peuples d'Asie centrale. La série des représentations collectives
en danse de QuébéAsia est une initiative de Danse Silken.

Manijeh Ali is a professional dancer and choreographer with intensive
training in Bharata Natyam style of Indian Classical dance. Manijeh also
studied Kathak style of Indian Classical dance and West African dance. Her
choreography includes Montreal productions of Thandavum (2009), Refuge
(2008), Antachara (2007), Spirit of the Mountain (2006), To Your Rhythm
Bharata Natyam! (2005), and RASA (2001-2004). Originally from
Afghanistan, Manijeh is the founder of Silken Dance, which is committed to
creating and producing contemporary dance projects portraying the history
of people from Central Asia. The QuébéAsia Dance performance Series is an
initiative of Silken Dance. |
